YADAY is, above all, an experienced and complementary team comprised of investors, entrepreneurs, and individuals from major international companies. The team is led by Romain Afflelou, supported by a family of entrepreneurs known for their success story of over 50 years in optics and acoustics.

The name YADAY, which combines the Hebrew word "YAD" meaning "hand" and the English word "DAY", illustrates our commitment: it represents our continuous support to entrepreneurs, a strong and lasting collaboration.
Romain Afflelou
Co-Founder
Romain, based in Miami, is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of YADAY.
A serial entrepreneur and investor, Romain brings over 20 years of experience spanning angel investing, digital transformation, venture capital, and family office investing. He created and successfully led the Afflelou family office, AA&Sons, building it into a diversified investment platform backing 140+ startups and 17 venture funds across AI, Healthtech, Fintech, and Connected devices.
Building on this track record, Romain co-founded Yaday Capital in 2025 and is now scaling it into a €120M Applied AI fund, combining disciplined capital allocation with hands-on strategic support and a global ecosystem of LPs, founders, corporates, and strategic partners, bridging Europe, the United States, and the Middle East.
Outside of work, Romain is a keen padel player, loves to DJ and create memorable gatherings for his friends and family.
Pauline Bovyn
Co-Founder
Pauline, based in Paris, is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of YADAY.
She brings over 20 years of experience at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and investment, with deep expertise in the energy, mobility, and technology sectors.
Prior to co-founding Yaday Capital, Pauline held senior executive roles at TotalEnergies, notably as Chief Strategy & Marketing Officer and member of the executive committee of the Mobility & New Energies division. In this role, she held a key strategic position in go-to-market execution, business development across new energy and mobility solutions in highly regulated, multi-stakeholders cross-border environments.
In 2022, she joined the Afflelou family office, AA&Sons, as Chief Operating Officer, where she combined VC and operational responsibilities. In this capacity, she was directly involved in investment strategy, portfolio management, governance, and value creation of their investments.
At YADAY Capital, Pauline is in charge of Investment and Portfolio Management, overseeing deal sourcing and deal flow management, fundraising, legal, investment execution, and active support of portfolio companies throughout their build, scale and exit phases.
As Co-CEO, she is responsible for day-to-day operations and plays a central role in the structuring and management of the fund working closely with LPs, advisors, and regulatory stakeholders.
Outside of work, you will find Pauline in the mountains, spending quality time with her family, pursuing her passion for skiing and pushing her limits on and off pistes.
Valentin Bar-Cohen
Head of investment
Valentin, based in Tel Aviv, is Head of Investment at YADAY.
A graduate of HEC Paris, Valentin is an experienced financial professional across M&A, public policy, investment banking, and venture capital, combining financial rigor with international exposure and operational proximity to founders.
He began his career in M&A at Rothschild, advising on strategic transactions, before joining the French Ministry of Economy and Finance in Paris, focussing on macroeconomic policy and sovereign-level financial matters. After joining BNP Paribas CIB in New York to further strengthen his cross-border capital markets expertise, he transitioned into VC, first at Streem VC, then Daphni and in 2022 joined the Yaday team (Romain & Pauline) - initially with AA&Sons to structure its investment platform and today at YADAY as Head of Investment, he leads deal sourcing, investment analysis, and execution including data room management, investor documentation, and fundraising.
Outside of work, Valentin enjoys sparring with the local tech entrepreneur ecosystem, or getting in the dojo ring honing his focus and competitive spirit.
Johannes Wilbrenninck
Head of Marketing & Communication
Johannes, based in Paris, is Head of Marketing & Communication at YADAY.
He has over 20 years of experience at the intersection of Luxury, Tech, VC, and Strategic Innovation, based between Paris, London and Hong Kong. Johannes brings a rare combination of brand-building expertise, capital advisory experience, and cross-border ecosystem activation.
He previously held senior leadership roles including Global Innovation Director at Puig before joining EY Fabernovel as MD - Head of Luxury & NewTech managing innovation and tech strategy projects for LVMH, Hermès, Kering, Jacquemus and Cartier across Europe, the US, and Asia.
Johannes holds an MBA from London Business School and Hong Kong University.
At YADAY, he leads Marketing and Communication, including Ecosystem Activation, Portfolio Acceleration and LP / Founder / Partnership Relations.
Outside of work, Johannes is passionate about art and wellness and spends his weekends either at yoga studios or visiting art galleries with his wife and daughters.
Aude Sebire
Head of Finance & Administration
Aude, based in Luxembourg, is Head of Finance & Administration at YADAY.
She brings over 25 years of experience dedicated to single Family Offices, with deep expertise at the highest level in finance, legal administration, governance, and company management.
Throughout her career, Aude has led and overseen complex, multi-jurisdictional structures, managing cross-border operations and stakeholder relationships in highly regulated environments. She combines a rigorous, methodical approach with a strong strategic perspective, ensuring robust financial oversight, operational efficiency, and regulatory discipline.
Recognised as a trusted partner to principals, boards, and external advisors, Aude is committed to long-term value creation, institutional-grade governance, and risk-aware decision-making. Her career has been defined by enduring partnerships built on discretion, reliability, and a deep understanding of Family Office and investment-management dynamics.
Outside of work, Aude likes to dedicate herself to culinary creations with her family as well as exploring nature.
