A quiet revolution is taking shape in Toulouse

Ascendance just unveiled the aero-structure of its VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing), a small vertical take-off and landing aircraft project named ATEA. YADAY was there to see it. 14-meter wingspan. 2-ton aircraft. Hybrid-electric propulsion developed in-house. Engines co-designed with Safran and compatible with SAF. Powered by the STERNA Hybrid pack.

This is not just about building another aircraft, it’s about redefining mobility, and revolutionising defense applications.

Thanks to its hybrid architecture, ATEA offers:

• Significantly reduced CO2 emissions

• Drastically lower acoustic footprint

• Operational flexibility across civil and sovereign use cases

In a world where energy transition meets geopolitical reality, this technological prowess matters.

At YADAY, we back innovators, founders re-writing the script and changing categories - accelerating technologies that move from prototype to infrastructure, from vision to industrial capability with real world value creation. During the board meeting in Toulouse last week we were blown away by their vision, growth and capacity to deliver.

Ascendance already counts 115 team members in the heart of the Toulouse aerospace ecosystem. The convergence of hybrid electric, sovereign capability, and scalable engineering is now taking-off into the skies.

We are proud to support Jean-Christophe Lambert and the whole Ascendance team as they build the future of aviation.
